Classes
There are 5 class groups, numbering no more than 8 pupils, with each group having a qualified teacher and at least one full-time teaching assistant (TA). Classes accommodate the needs of pupils in National Curriculum years 1 to 7. Boys are predominantly grouped by age as this allows for efficient delivery of the curriculum. However, emotional and developmental maturity and specific learning and behavioural difficulties are taken into account when forming class groups. In some cases boys may be placed in classes where the average age is lower or higher than their own.
