Trips & Events

There are many whole school events and theme days throughout the school year designed to contribute to the children’s education. They include Friendship Day, World Book Day, Red Nose Day, Health & Safety Day, Seaside Trip, Jeans for Genes Day, Anti Bullying Week, Christingle, Remembrance Day and Operation Christmas, amongst others.

There are many class trips and visits linked to the curriculum. Parents/carers are informed of those organised for each class at the beginning of the new school year. During the weekends there are a variety of trips offsite to help develop social and physical skills as well as giving pupils the opportunity to experience new situations and develop their knowledge of new environments.

Sports events and a swimming gala take place on Visitor’s Day. Parents and Carers enjoy the annual Christmas play. Party games are keenly contested. Fruity Friday celebrates our commitment to healthy eating. Our Lord’s Taverners Mini Bus transports the children on many educational and social trips and visits.
